Project Manager

Position Description:

You will be the Zimit leader responsible for managing the Customer experience throughout project delivery. You will be tasked with managing a portfolio of projects, (initial deployment and/or subsequent phases).

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the Zimit application. The Project Manager will drive the customer implementation, and work with the customer to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success. The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing to the agreed upon scope, timeline, and budget as defined in the statement of work.

About the Team:

You will be a key player on a team that guides customers through the deployment lifecycle, solution delivery, and issue management by partnering with Zimit delivery leadership, CPQ consultants, and the Development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage one or more Zimit product implementations concurrently
  • Ensure the project is successfully delivered within the budget and timeline outlined in the SOW
  • Present client with change orders in the event they’re asking Zimit to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to CPQ Consultants working on your implementations
  • Work with the customer project manager to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes
  • Provide weekly project status to key stakeholders
  • Ensure the customer takes advantage of Zimit best practices
  • Be a liaison for your projects and the Customer Success team when interacting with sales and/or development
  • Identify opportunities to position other Zimit use cases or new product features/functions
  • Ensure the customer can serve as a reference upon completing their implementation
  • Assist in the transition of the customer from implementation to production support
  • Participate in the sales cycle when requested to help determine scope, formulate delivery approach, and assist in developing a proposal/SOW
  • Provide input to support ongoing improvement to the Zimit implementation process

Expected Results within 12 Months:

  • Become an expert in Zimit project delivery
  • Provide leadership and contribute expertise as part of the Customer Success team
  • Demonstrate competency in the Zimit application
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully manage project scope and timeline to plan

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrable experience (5+ years) of managing medium and/or large enterprise software implementations
  • Prior consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company
  • Experience implementing Salesforce, Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, Financial Force, or other enterprise cloud application
  • Working knowledge with at least one of the following business areas: Pricing, Order to Cash, Estimation/Quoting, Professional Services, Managed Services, or similar business experience
  • Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • CPQ implementation experience (Salesforce, Apttus, Oracle, SAP)
  • Experience working with CRM and PSA/ERP Integrations
